Tornadoes!

Well, you get used to them living here in OK, but yesterday they came a little too close for comfort. We finally made it home around 6:30 last night to find that our house was still in tact and doesn't even seem to have hail damage. That is far more than lots of people in Edmond can say. The same tornado that tore through Edmond passed directly over us, but wasn't on the ground. Thank God! Liberty and I were safe in OKC at the time and stayed with friends until most of the danger had passed. When Scott got off work, we all headed home together in the pouring rain. I hate to think what the rest of tornado season is going to be like if they are starting in February! Today, I am heading out for batteries and candles to prepare. Even though we kind of live out in the middle of nowhere, we rarely loose power for more than a few minutes. Proabably wouldn't hurt to be prepared though.

Baby news: I am almost half way through this pregnancy! I can feel the baby moving a lot now and I am so thankful for every little movement. Next week we will see our specialist again and I will make the official gender announcement. Lets hope is still a girl because we have already named her! The doctor will do a huge ultrasound and measure every possible little part and check for any abnoralities. I am confident that he will find nothing of concern and we won't have to see him again. I have also decided that I am going to attempt to have this baby without anesthesia! I have no desire to experience the birth process in this way; it is simply an effort to save money. I am going to take the birthing classes and read the books and see what happens. Please start praying now for a speedy labor and complication-free delivery! Since I am not opposed to anesthesia, I still reserve the right to request an epidural and worry about the bill later!

Liberty seems to be going through a very fussy, tantrum throwing phase. She is still just the greatest little girl in the whole world, but for some reason everything has become such a big deal. If she doesn't get what she wants, she has a complete meltdown. This also happens when she can't do something by herself or if she can't do something perfect the first time. Drama Drama. Thankfully, most of these outbursts occur at home and publically she is still my perfect princess.

  1. Amy,

I am glad you guys missed the tornado. I always think I want to move back to Oklahoma and then tornado season comes and I think maybe not. I can't wait to hear the final call on boy or girl.

  2. I am actually not LWS Weather. That is Isaiah. I don't know how I managed to be signed in under his blog. Anyway, I thought I would clarify since you might wonder why I had a whole blog devoted to weather history. That would be our little weatherman.

    love,
